Sacramento River salmon guides salmon fishing report
The Sacramento River will re-open for a small salmon season in just one week starting on November 16th and ending one hour after sunset on December 31st as reported by Sacramento River salmon fishing guides. Last years season opened with a bang on November 1st and salmon fishing was great right up to the end of the season. These are the biggest, brightest and hardest fighting salmon that the Sacramento River has to offer angler's where a king salmon of a lifetime is real possibility. Just like the 48 pound king salmon in the photo here that was caught on a sardine wrapped Kwikfish in early December 2008 with professional guide service's Dave Jacobs. This years salmon season will be open from the Red Bluff Diversion Dam downriver to Knights landing. Angler's will need a Bay Delta Enhancement stamp and are allowed one king salmon per person.
Dave Jacobs Professional guide service will be available for king salmon and steelhead jet boat trips on the SacramentoRiver November 16 through December 31, 2009. Our driftboat trips on the Smith river for steelhead will start January 1 through March 2010.
